On my blog I have been writing about experiments with a different surface for watercolours – the Ampersand Claybord. Now it’s not strictly speaking for watercolour, but I’d seen work by other artists on the surface and was eager to try it out. If you would like to find out more about my process, here’s a blog post – Portraits on a new surface.
The experimenting paid off because last night my Portrait of a Boy was awarded Second Prize at the Nundah Village Art Show.
If you are interested in having a portrait painted you can read more about the process on Art Matters Commissioned Portrait page. I would love to create a personal family treasure.
