My favourite café, Deja Bru Café did a little shop fitting and some new wall units were installed. They asked me to do three small paintings to decorate the new area. In addition to wonderful coffee, they specialise in delicious cakes so it was easy to decide to do three small still life paintings. One was all about coffee and my favourite cappucchino, the second a tray set for tea. The final painting was devoted to a selection of cakes – yum!

Doing the research for these proved to be a test of my willpower. I battled not to sample every cake featured.
